Planning ahead is the key to staying on track with your healthy eating goals! Forget the store bought protein bars that are often filled with refined sugars or artificial sweeteners. These easy and portable protein balls are one of my favourite snacks and the kids love them too! Even better, I designed them to be nourishing for your hair, so they are overflowing with omega 3, protein and zinc!
I recommend you have 2 for a mid-afternoon snack or a post-workout nibble.
❖ 4 Medjool dates
❖ 1 tablespoon of hemp hearts
❖ 1 tablespoon of raw pumpkin seeds
❖ 1 heaping scoop of raw protein powder
❖ 1 tablespoon of walnut butter
❖ 2 tablespoons of sprouted ground chia and flax powder
❖ 1 tablespoon of raw local honey
❖ 1 tablespoon of shredded coconut
❖ 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
❖ 2 tablespoons of warm water.
- Place all ingredients in your food processor and blend.
- Add 1 tbsp of warm water at a time and blend. Assess the consistency (it may take 1-3 tbsp just use your own discretion).
- Form into 1 inch balls and roll in raw cacao or coconut mixture.
- Store in a container in the fridge.

*1 Serving is 4 small balls if you roll them into 1 inch size.
