  1. I just want to note. I mentioned that intense exercise increases cortisol levels and that you should feel increased energy from that. This is true. HOWEVER, when I spoke about working out intensely and then feeling drained, that’s because there is because your HPA axis is’t functioning optimally. You’ve probably been stressed and pushing yourself more an increasing cortisol is the opposite of what you need at that point. Which is why I spoke about pilates, walking etc which are better forms of exercise if you’re experiencing issues with stress and energy levels. Hope that clears that up.
