Are your services covered by my extended health care plan?
A number of insurance companies cover nutritional consultations by Registered Nutritional Consulting Practitioners (RNCPs) such as the ones offered by Life Nourished Naturally.The Following insurance companies recognize the services of an RNCP who are registered members of The International Organization of Nutritional Consultants
Other plans that allow members to use their allotted funds for complementary health services, often known as "Flex Plans" also cover the services of an RNCP. Please check with your insurance provider to confirm coverage. If you do not have coverage, you can express your support for this service to your employer by requesting a letter from me and providing it to your HR department. In most cases adding the service of an RNCP to an existing policy is not a problem. Many insurance companies will cover the cost of nutritional consultations when your receipt is accompanied by a doctor's referral. Please note: If you do not have coverage, my services are recognized by The Canadian Revenue Agency and receipts can be submitted with your income tax return. What is a Registered Nutritional Consulting Practitioner?
The professional designation of Registered Nutritional Consulting Practitioner (RNCP) is a qualified professional who has met the standards of the International Organization of Nutrition Consultants (IONC). The IONC is an independent, not for profit association that has established education as well as ethical standards for holistic nutritionists in Canada. An RNCP is a nutritional professional who provides guidance to individuals or groups, pertaining to the building and maintenance of nutritional well-being.Such counsel may include:
